1 Liter of nitrocellulose varnish lacquer for the last coat of finish on your DiY guitar kit. This lacquer will provide a transparent Matt finish to get a sober but elegant guitar kit built. It highlights the previous coats or the grain of the wood itself,if you have choose to use dyes or for a natural DiY guitar kit finish. Our selected Varnish colorless matt tint has excellent hardness and elasticity, and it willl protect your electric guitar from the light and scratch over decades! In particular its high transparency ensures your guitar finish a sense of depth and brightness.

The varnish lacquer for matt results is the last coats of protection you need to apply when applying finishing layers to your guitar kit in order to have your electric guitar to last over time. This is the most important finishing step, and if you want to use only 1 product for your finishing then the top coats will be the one.

Our selected nitrocellulose varnish lacquer is compatible with all the nitrocellulose guitar kit finishing products as well as our grain filler and polish pastes.
NITROCELULOSE SEALER PREPARATION AND APPLICATION.
Apply thin layers of nitrocellulose matt lacquer to avoid any drip and get a homogeneous distribution. Wait between 12 to 24 hours between coats. It is advised to sand slightly before putting the next coat to ensure that new coat will attached well. Note that Nitrocellulose is toxic and need protection during the finishing step of your guitar kit build: google, mask and gloves available on our website.
Also if you want to spray the varnish lacquer - which we strongly advice - and you don't have the material and don't want to invest in a spray gun, The Guitar Kit Fabric proposes the rechargeable spray preval product. With this item you can spray the nitrocellulose matt varnish on your guitar body. The preval spray will allow a good spraying of the lacquer and can spray up to 500mL before needed to be recharged.
